Allen-Bradley Variable Frequency Drives - 1336, 1336 Plus, 1305

This twenty-four hour, hands-on course, uses Allen-Bradley 1305/1336 variable frequency motor drives. This course covers the functional configuration of the drives and presents methods for performing maintenance and troubleshooting. Customer may select focus to be on one or more models as needed.

After this class, participants will be able to:

• Explain the effect varying the applied frequency has on an AC induction motor speed and torque.

• Describe the function of the components in the drive's power, logic control, and inverter sections.

• Identify the terminations for power signals, control signals, and speed command signals.

• Explain the effect the signals have on the drive performance.

• Explain how a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal is generated.

• Describe the parameters in the drive that control motor performance.

• Program the 1336 PLUS, the 1336 or 1305 (as selected) using the Human Interface Module (HIM).

• Diagnose and correct any fault condition of the drive.

• Replace hardware components or the drive, and reprogram it.
