This forty-hour course provides a hands-on overview of the Allen-Bradley PLC5 programmable controller Hardware; Software and Basic Instruction sets. Extensive opportunities are provided for practice on PLC5 simulators with complete PLC5 software programs pre-loaded. Basic troubleshooting skills are also covered. (Customer may use own programs if desired).
Understand and utilize PLC Hardware
Understand PLC5 Addressing & Numbering Systems
Recognize the function and operation of basic Instruction Sets
Gain basic familiarity with software as follows:
Recognize how the PLC5 software (RSLogix5™, AB6200 or ICOM) is used to interface with the PLC5 hardware and ladder logic programming
Recognize how the PLC5 software uses Instruction sets
Search to a specific address
Insert, delete or alter instructions
Save, store or print program modifications
Perform a program backup
Familiarity with Ladder Logic, Numbering Systems basics, and possess good Windows Navigational Skills
