Automated Controls

This 24 to 40 hour course allows participants to gain hands-on experience using Allen-Bradley PanelView terminals and software. Course emphasis is on the PLC and PanelView system in an integrated process environment. Troubleshooting includes: system hardware, messages, alarms and fault detection techniques. The 40 hr class goes on to cover in-depth development of screens using Panel Builder.
Describe physical and software components of a PanelView system and how they interrelate with PLCs and process control
Identify how Windows software relates to PLC and PanelView operating systems
Troubleshoot hardware, communications and software faults using indicators, message displays and a personal computer
Enter, interpret and edit PanelView programs utilizing PanelBuilder software
Introduction to PLC-5s; strong machine/process control background; good Windows skills
24 - 40 hours, per customer need
Up to 8 (six simulators available)
