A Good Place to Begin

Employee Climate Surveys offer organizations insight for the right training for the right people - the first time. Before you spend a penny on training, why not ask your employees what they need. Often your employees’ suggestions for improvement, along with their interest in professional development, gives your organization the insight to find the right training for the right people - the first time.

CBIL's expertise in designing surveys and focus group facilitations can draw out those grassroots needs of your employees.

A key characteristic in survey usefulness is the response rate. A way of achieving a high response rate is to post your survey on the web. CBIL's capabilities allow for website hosting and administration of surveys we design. This allows response rates to be greatly increased as employees with dial up access go to the Internet and take the survey - with ease.

CBIL Survey Development Process

Step 1: Identify project goals

A CBIL professional will meet with you to discuss your expectations, establish a timeline, and explain the survey process.

Step 2: Survey Design

Once your survey needs have been identified, CBIL will develop a strategy designed to draw out the information needed by using questions that create a unique survey for your organization. Potential survey formats are: scaled items, fill in the blank, essay, and rank order - just to name a few basic ones.

Step 3: Survey Administration

CBIL offers two efficient ways of administering your survey:

  • Internet Survey: The survey can be distributed across multiple locations and participants can easily access the survey via the Internet. Data is collected immediately following completion of the survey. Additionally, Internet surveys offer greater response rates, accuracy, and speed when compared to traditional paper and pencil surveys.
  • Paper and Pencil Survey: CBIL can administer paper and pencil format surveys on-site. This is an excellent alternative for participants without access to the Internet.
Step 4: Data Analysis and Reporting

Data from Internet surveys are collected in real-time. Paper and pencil surveys are scored using state-of-the-art Scantron scanners capable of reading 4,000 documents per hour. Once your data has been collected, CBIL's high quality reporting will shortly follow.

Step 5: Feedback

A CBIL professional will personally review your results and provide insight into your data. Appropriate follow-up options may include focus groups or individual interviews.

Step 6: Action Plan Development

CBIL will work with you to develop an action plan utilizing the results of your survey to create measurable performance results.
