Client Recognition BreakfastOn Thursday, June 9, 2005 the Center for Business, Industry & Labor (CBIL), the business consulting arm of St. Louis Community College, hosted a breakfast to honor its clients and their partnership with CBIL.
The event, held at the Junior League of St. Louis, featured opening remarks by Director Robert Serben, Ph.D., who welcomed participants and thanked them for the opportunity to help their organizations continue to grow and thrive.
The program’s featured speaker was Mr. Bryan Bezold, Chief Economist and Director of Research for the St. Louis RCGA. During his presentation, Mr. Bezold reviewed the state of the greater St. Louis economy and discussed what the future held. One of Mr. Bezold’s main messages was that St. Louis must attract and retain businesses in growth industries like plant and life sciences, information technology, “advanced” manufacturing, financial services, and transportation and distribution. Doing so would ensure that our region will continue to be an attractive, diverse, and viable economic entity. In addition, St. Louis must continue investing in its human capital by attracting, developing, and retaining talented people. To view Bryan's presentation click here.
