Our InstructorsTroy Kitchen, A.S.Troy has taught automated controls classes fulltime for CBIL since 1998 in topics ranging from advanced theory and operation of programmable logic controllers; the skills needed to troubleshoot automated equipment; computer and PLC networking fundamentals; and PanelView programming, among many others. He is experienced in customizing hands -on labs to meet the needs of his students. He has worked with technicians from a variety of manufacturing industries and possesses an Associate’s degree in Process Control from Ranken College. Prior to joining CBIL, Troy worked at Chrysler North as an electrician where he wrote & implemented automated control programs. Dan Michki, A.A.S.Dan joined CBIL in February 2004, bringing with him 5+ years of experience teaching advanced automated controls at Vatterott College in Sunset Hills, MO. At Vatterott, Dan developed & taught curriculum on topics that included the theory and operation of programmable logic controllers, advanced industrial troubleshooting techniques, and AutoCad 2002. In addition, Dan possesses over nine years industrial electrical experience working as an electrician in controls design, installation and troubleshooting. He earned his AAS in Electronics from I.T.T. and has specialized training in numerous fields such as: SLC 500, PLC-5, PanelView, Kawasaki C Series Controller, Resistance Welding, RSVIEW32, Controllogix 5000 Systems, and In-Touch HMI Business Practice Leader – Automated ControlsEllen E. Irons, B.S. C.E.Ellen possesses over fifteen years experience in training & development, with eight of these focused on advanced manufacturing controls. She has interfaced with senior engineers, plant and project managers, skilled trades employees, maintenance supervisors, and technicians. She combines her engineering background with her extensive experience in performance improvement needs assessment to ensure that each client’s individual needs will be met.
